Format:

This tournament is conducted by the NCGA with club level qualifying administered by the MGC. Championship qualifying is September 13 at local clubs. Championship rounds are October 15-16 at Poppy Hills GC.

Individual stroke play tournament. The tournament will consist of two flights - Blue and White. The net winner of each flight will represent MGC at the NCGA qualifying tournament. Qualifiers receive paid entry fees to the NCGA tournament.

Blue Tee Flight - Net score with GHIN Index of 11.0 or lower. Players with indexes of 11.1 may request to play in Blue Tee Flight but will play at a 12 tournament handicap. White Tee Flight - Net score with indexes of 11.1 or higher.

Representatives of the club must have played in at least four MGC events in the past 12 months. The low net winners must declare at the tournament whether they will play in the NCGA Qualifier. Any MGC member may play in the golf tournament.

Closest to the pin, and gross and net prizes will be awarded for non-qualifiers.There will be two skins games, one for the Blue and White flights. Skins are based on gross score.

This is a major tournament for Player of the Year points.

 

 

Cost:

$15 per player plus $45 for green fees/$55 with cart. Pay green fees in the Golf Shop counter and registration fees at the sign-in table in the lobby. $10 optional skins game.

1.  Rangefinders / GPS (distance only) measuring devices are allowed.

2.  During wet or unusual weather conditions, please call the Metropolitan Golf Shop at (510) 569-5555 x5 to confirm tournament is still scheduled.
